One of my best guy friends is having a graduation party next weekend (hs) and I have no clue what to get him

He received a full scholarship as an athletic recruit & he gets money for textbooks- so Amazon/amazon prime would be pointless.

I want to get his something other than a giftcard bc I feel lile thats too generic and impersonal.
Any suggestions? Thanks.

School hoodie, school mug, and, even though you said no GCs... GC to a local-to-the-college restaurant.

Is he going to live on campus? How about something for his dorm room/apt?

The above mentioned GC to a local restaurant is a great idea too.

Grad parties are pretty common around here. The kids don't typically exchange gifts.

What would YOU like for a gift--even though cash and gift cards are not "personal", how much fun do you have using/spending them? Get him something he can use on campus next year. Even though he has his school costs covered, he will still need spending money.
