I find the poll straightforward and I went to college for career advancement. I can learn for free.

Not at all.
Both choices were equally important to me.

Both is an appropriate answer that you chose to leave out of the mix.
I will not lie and say one choice was more important than the other..... or are lies what you want?

The very last sentence said,

"If you still find yourself unable to pick one over the other or simply want to turn this thread into an argument of semantics, just hit the back button on your browser and proceed to the next topic."

Now please explain to me how replying with "both" adhered to my instructions.

You just seem to have a problem with someone going to college for both reasons.

I also vote "both" or "C" or "all of this above".

You don't have my reason for going to college on your poll and neither of those apply to me.
I went because I was bored at that time and wanted something to do besides nothing to do.

I checked the poll and your vote didn't seem to register. Maybe you should try again.

The only reason I went to college was to land a well-paying job in a specific field with my degree.

If it weren't for that, I would have had no interest in going to college. Anything else which college offered I could have obtained more efficiently by other means.

The poll and question are just so poorly constructed that it's pretty much useless. It's not that others cannot follow instructions, it's that you didn't make it valid.
