Well, that last makes sense. While this thread was just sitting here, I thought of another, maybe better analogy than what I originally used.

I majored in nursing in college. We were not expected, as students, to know exactly what to do in each and every situation. The question you asked- "what are you going to do when you are no longer a student?" - would be totally inappropriate, as I feel it is here. The OP is still in school to learn what to do when no longer a student.

(Of course, we were monitored a little more closely, due to the sometimes life and death nature of the work. But students weren't put into life and death situations, at least not intentionally.)
