I am looking for schools that have meteorology programs. I know Penn State, Ohio State, Rutgers, OU, Texas A&M, and possible Drexel and City College of New York. I want a school in or near a major city and preferably in the eastern half of the country. I was thinking of moving to the New York City area due to the multiple school choices, but I wanted to weigh my options.
I'm pretty certain that PSU has the best program in the country for meteorology, and that hurts saying it because I hate that school. That said, its not near a major city so you'd be SOL there.

My brother almost went there. He decided on Oklahoma instead, mostly because it is basically in the middle of nowhere. Plus he loves his storms, so there's lots of opportunity in Okla.
Jim Cantore is my favorite. That is a good idea, thanks.
