Cambridge, Oxford, St. Andrews, Imperial College, King's College, Edinburgh, Warwick, Durham, Queen's University Belfast, Exeter, etc, etc

To get into the first three basically a hope and a prayer. However, the United States does send a good number of students to St. Andrews.

Default McGill Univ. in Montreal

McGill Univ. in Montreal, Quebec- an amazing school (a Canadian version of an Ivy).
A lot of top-notch research originates from there.

Since in Montreal, a heavy French and European influence/ambiance.

Are you only looking for schools outside of the U.S.? If you're considering U.S. schools as well, then Harvard, Stanford, Yale, MIT, Duke, John's Hopkins and CalTech (among others) are some of the best in the world along with Oxford, Cambridge, Imperial College, McGill, Tokyo, Australian National, etc.

This all depends, of course, on your planned field of study.
