It is okay to discuss the bad side to college. Christian people were always trying to recruit me in college too. LOL. It was so very weird.

Artsyguy, where did you go to school? I want to keep my cousins far far away from there because it sounds like a terrible place.

I saw more of that after college than in college.

But to qualify that statement, I did move from a very laid back part of the US to a region where appearances and doing things "the right way" was very important.

Teenagers and twentysomethings with a chip on their shoulder, who think they are better, smarter, cooler, etc. than everyone else?

Noooo.

It must be you.

I generally do this with anybody I'm conversing with, regardless of any discrepancies in our educational experience.

If someone is less educated or informed than me. I will try my best to teach them what I know.

I've noticed that outside of college people in general are really down to earth and relaxed for the most part. Then when you step into a college the students as smart and talented as most of them are want to be treated like Royalty if they assume that they are more talented than you and can boss and order you around like a plebeian.

I've had those experiences in the past. It was more of an observation on behavior and interpersonal attitudes. Did anybody else see that? Or was everyone in your college very relaxed and down to earth?
What is a snobish personality? How have they proven they are more talented than you are? In what subject?
