Asking many questions and everyone could help me !!
Hello everybody
I have some questions that I couldn't find answers for on "searching the internet because the false ads" first of all am not from the US, am from Egypt, and i am an exchange college student, and I like it here, and am looking forward to complete studying
First question is,
I want to ask about colleges, what is a good college to study in, especially am an international student and many colleges do not support internationals, and it could get really expensive, especially "that I want to work and pay for college".
My second question:
How are you work opportunities, for undergraduates in the city, like me for example, I didn't graduate yet, but know how to "Graphic Design", and do some 3D work, I can write music. So is it possible to work on any of these things in my current conditions, or it's very hard,
and if it's hard, what kind of jobs could be available for college students,
That's my two biggest concerns here
Best regards,,
Happy New Year,

Both graphic design and music are EXTREMELY competitive fields. You will will have a hard time getting work in either of those fields because you will be competing with New Yorkers with degrees from top design and music schools who will also have a ton of professional experience.
As for schools, you are restricted to only on-campus jobs with a limited number of hours (I think 20) so there is no way to work your way through school as an international student. Scholarships are very hard to come by as well. Most international students are financed either by their parents or by their government (but mostly for math and science). You will be hard pressed to come over here as a student doing anything creative unless your family is rich. Sorry.
Honestly, the best way is to go back home, finish out your degree, and get a job working for an international firm and eventually put in for a transfer to the US office. Math, science and finance will be your best bet for getting hired by an international firm.

Will you have a work permit? If this is what you really want to do and you have no money than it will be hard work but you can do it. If you can survive out here in NY you can survive any where. If you get a work permit and can work, than you work where ever waitoring, Mcdonalds, night shifts whatever but again it'll be hard work but if you're determine you can make it work. There are alot of opportunities here.
