IDK, am I the only one wanting stats regarding actual crimes against people? where are the stats for colleges w/ the highest murder rates? attempted murder? rapes? attempted rapes? assault? murder, assault, and rape are the big 3 in my mind when it comes to crime and safety. sure it's nice to know about property crimes, but I'd be more concerned about my physical well being and if I had college aged kids, would likely avoid any campus that had a high rate of rapes, shootings, etc. these are the stats I'm really looking for
One year my college was listed as #1 for grand theft auto. Turns out they included the number of times students stole golf carts to joy ride around campus. Clearly, it was a dangerous place.
dominos quit delivering to my campus for a while - some idiot driver left his car running while delivering a pizza into the dorms
usually not a quick process as security will hold you up entering the dorm, the students need to get their money together, select who needs to actually go down and get it, etc
he wasn't watching his vehicle and it was stolen
pretty urban campus in an area where this type of stuff happens
don't know if it was a student or a local - but stupid none the less
thanks, but I'm just thinking that it's silly for all these sites to have these sort of polls when it's not the type of crime most people are really worried about. are they afraid to point out the fact that a certain university had X number of murders or rapes cause it'll make the school look bad?
WHAT?! NO GEORGIA TECH?! There have been so many robberies and murders around campus. God I can't even walk across north avenue without worrying about getting shot. So many people complained about the home park house invasions that the Atlanta Police Department had to step in and set up checkpoints around the area.
