I understand differently abled children. Mine is now 26, the third of our four children, all of whom grew up in Teller County. I see nothing wrong with giving your daughter a fabulous birthday event. I just feel all things in moderation. It's the little things in life that turn out to be the most memorable and bigger is not always better.

Well, I'm not sure this would be of interest to you or not, but you can rent out the whole pool in Manitou Springs to hold private parties. I've seen them set up tents outside for the food, etc. Just in case the hotel thing doesn't work out.

I just want to put in another plug for Embassy Suites, or also Homewood Suites. These are all suite hotels that have extra space in the rooms. No spas, but maybe they could go to a salon for their spa treatments and then to the hotel afterwards. Another nice thing is that both of these hotels provide a very nice breakfast in the morning, so you save some $$ there, instead of having to provide that yourself.

Hope your daughter has a wonderful time!

I think just about any of the many motels on North Academy near Chapel Hills Mall would fit the bill.
Easy access to a lot of fun stuff!!

Ohhhhh, to be a teen running wild again! LOL

Let me know what day you all arrive so I can be out of town that weekend!.. :P Have a great time all!

Not something we would do for my daugher's 16th... but who cares!!! It is nobody's business. You celebrate how you want to celebrate your daughter's birthday!!! I have a friend who celebrated her girl's 12th birthday at the Embassy Suite and they had a blast!!

Whatever you end up doing - have a great party!! And celebrate a very special 16th with your girl!!!

Great help here! I think I am going to give Embassy Suites a try. Appreciate the kind wishes as well! Thanks so much, everyone! :-)
