Ok, I;ll try this again. Colorado Springs pay is horrible, Colorado SPrings home prices are very expensive for the crappy building jobs. Colorado SPrings Office positions can pay between 30,000-32,000 a year with a degree.
Sorry, it wasn't clear. The original question was about the negatives of Colorado. I was giving them.

I think this complaint is legit. Colorado has long had what's known as a "scenery tax" -- meaning that you have to accept a lower salary combined with a relatively high cost of living in order to live here. This is particularly true outside of the Denver Metro area, and from my impression Colorado Springs is no exception.
Companies know that people want to live here, so they don't have to pay top dollar to attract talent. The talent shows up at their doorstep and will generally take what the market will bear. Yet educated talent comes anyway. This isn't just true in Colorado, but it certainly applies here.
Certainly, if you're looking for a place with a great salary to cost of living ratio, don't come here. Look to Houston, Texas, as an example. Salaries there are relatively good, jobs are plentiful, and cost of living is very low, and you'll probably get full relocation benefits to go there.

Not by my experience. I'm in a solid home that cost half what it would in CA, FL, DC metro, and many other places.

I wasn't saying that home here cost what they would in California or any other place but the prices of home for the value aren't very good in The Springs. Plus, the job market is really poor.

i'm an ASE master certified auto tech, with advance level specialist certification. There's a huge market for that out there, due to the insane amount of cars on the road. I can barely top $30k where i;m at now. I've been offered jobs in excess of$55K a year in motor city, and i'd be doing the exact same thing.

Well, in my post I referred to Office positions, like Administrative Assistants, legal assistants, etc.
