I'm so sorry for all you went through down there. It goes to show that what may be some people's utopia can be hell for others. The culture of Colorado Springs is what scared me away for it, you can tell that it's custom made for a certain type of people.

Whoa! I hope LA treats you better. I know that the Springs has more crime than my little town of Pueblo because of its size, but I've never really looked at crime statistics besides my own. When I've been sober, I've never been arrested. YET!

I'm trying to be a good boy. I grew up in Chatsworth. I used to miss it but boy it's changed since 77'. It really got dense with industry and stuff.

Now many in my family are some kind of cop and whether they're in the northern Front Range or the southern Front Range, business is booming.

I could not imagine what it would be like to be in your shoes. I'll admit that I could have got in a lot worse troubles if I wasn't white with freckles. For example; I was serving my jail time over my college spring break, because that's what I asked my lawyer to do for me... the judge said, "You want to spend your week in jail during Spring Break so you can do homework? I see no problem with that." So I'm sittin' there doing some Calculus II and Calc based Physics and stuff, and this cop comes up to me and says, "What's a nice kid like you doin' in a place like this?" I swear! If I'm lyin' I'm dyin! I said, "When I'm drunk, I'm not so nice."

And here's the funny part; alcohol is only a symptom of my problem. Once I got sober I found out that I have my lousy personality to work on!

Let's face it. If you're rich or poor you can live anywhere. It's us people in the middle who have a hard time. I didn't make that statement up, I heard it somewhere. But isn't it true?

PS: I wouldn't trade my past for all the gold or oil on the planet.

I'd give up my past in a heartbeat for gold or oil.
Mine wasn't so great.

Yeah, that's the whole beauty of it. It got us to here.

If my past was me banging my head against the wall and my present is the same thing, that'd be pretty "insane".

There's a spiritual paradox to this and one I have an experience with as well. My past isn't or wasn't "her" fault or "their" fault or "it's" fault or "my" fault. It just is. And now I'm here.

We all had a rough past one way or another. Heck, we might even have a rough future. But that's ok. The knife of my spiritual awareness is sharper and I'll get to deal with whatever when I'm supposed to.

While I was going through that misery in the past, I was finally pushed and prodded and forced to grow. And I grew.

Until I was kicked out and "lost everything", I found out I wasn't "kicked out" at all. I had actually driven "them" off with a Mack Truck. What I thought I'd lost, I'd found. It's like I was born, something "happened" to me, and I grew a bit. I never really "breathed" air, until "it" happened to me.

Do I want to sit here and pray for "it" to happen to me again? Heck no!

CS-the Negatives; needs a good satelite Sports Station. I need my Jim Rome fix and it's apparent that Pueblo has taken it from me. Thank God we got our priorities!

I do and have been, but what about if I'm driving in my car or travelling or something? He's got affiliates all over the US, so whatever town I'm in from 10 to 1 MST, it can be like bringing a little bit of home with me.

Not so in southern Colorado anymore. They moved 1350 the Fan into this stupid AM oldies station. If you're gonna listen to music, put it on FM! AM is for voice, right?

Colorado Springs the Negatives? How about Pueblo the negatives? Bunch of stupid dorks who don't know what the fast lane is for. It's for going at least the damn speed limit, you idiots! Every third car has whiskey bumps and tequila scratches on them. I've seen more busted out windows on cars in this town. Not the front windshield either. The side ones. And the ghetto way they try to patch them up! Glad bags, duct tape, plexiglass and duct tape, Walmart bags! And they add "S" to everything. Out here, it's Wal Marts, Safeways, K Marts, Targets, ... It's about canes and wheel chairs and gobment cheese out here. There's your negatives!

All I ask for is my sports radio station! What a dependent worthless town sometimes.

I noticed that too when I used to go down to Peterson AFB on reserve weekends from Denver. Sometimes it seemed to take as long to get from Denver to the COS border as it took to get from the city limit to the AFB.

No, it's not the same thing. We have I-25, 70, 225, 270, 76, C470, 6th Ave. Freeway, Boulder Turnpike. That's a lot more freeways to navigate the metro area.

Colorado Springs would be better if they had the Dr. Laura-Howard Stern Power Hour! Just kidding.

And that's the one they took away from me. Colorado Springs used to have it and I think it's gone, then Pueblo had it loud and clear on 1350, now it's gone and all sports are back on 590 which just ain't the same.

I can get with a cool am oldies station like the next guy. It always sounds best on AM only radios like I got right here; I'm down, I tell ya!
