Hey, did you feel the earthquake(s) last night? I did in Security - the biggest one woke me up. I thought someone was sharply shaking the bed, heard popping noises, too. But then I remembered Matt Meister of News13 tweeting about some small earthquakes near Trinidad and I guessed that is what I felt. I felt one only one other time - I think it was the early 1990's when there was a 4.x'er up near Castle Rock.

Is that what it was? I woke up from sleep during the night, because I heard what appeared like someone running up/down the stairs and shaking the house a bit. I thought it was one of my boys, but they were sound asleep when I check their bedroom. Wow, an earthquake!!?

I slept right through it. Then again, when I was still living in Texas, I slept right through a tornado that pretty much went right by our house once. I'm a pretty sound sleeper.

Having grown up in California, earthquakes, even pretty good shakers, were a way of life. Mostly, just ignored them. OP's story reminds me of another. When we were living in Fairbanks, Alaska, one of my wife's coworkers was from New York City and had her first experience with a small quake. It was 3:00 AM and she was awakened from a sound sleep. Still groggy, she just thought it was the usual subway rumbling below her...then realized...wait...what?
