Colorado Springs seems to be majorly lacking when it comes to tourist attractions. What would you most like to see in the Colorado Springs area?

I like ALL of those options except the street car tour--I find those tend to get in the way. The rest would need to be operated privately--not be a drain on city funding. I'd also prefer it be on the order border of the city, and along the interstate. I think something like a six flags would be great south of the city because that is the side the airport is on, or north to draw from Denver as well.

Maybe so, but I think most people come to Colorado to enjoy the outdoors and scenery. Activities such as skiing, hiking, camping, etc. I have seen what amusement parks do to traffic. I'm new here, but like things as they are. I think Colorado offers enough to attract people without the above mentioned ideas.

OP has has a point. It sucks that you have to drive to Denver to ride roller coasters. They could stick it out in Falcon or something and it wouldn't be in the way at all. Plenty of useless land out there. The hard part is that there isn't enough water to support it.

I would like to see a better skyline. More hi-rise buildings. Pikes Peak and the other mountains serve as a great backdrop. They could probably put a mall in a building downtown too.

I don't want any of those things, except maybe the aquarium. A nice museum like a Natural History museum I could go for. But amusements parks and malls? Blech!

What do you mean?? Colorado Springs could support a amusement park or a large mall! That would be amazing!I just hate that the people of COS have to make a trip to Denver just for that stuff!

can't think of a thing that would be worse for the abiance and tourism than highrise buildings~ if you want them go somewhere that has them. Drove around denver recently and was glad I live in the springs because skyline there was ugly because of the hirizes
