BL Ranch is mostly the area south of your point on the map, i.e., it's south of Woodmen Rd, most of the way down to Security/Widefield area, and an area about 2.5 to 3 miles wide (from west to east); backing up to Peterson AFB on the west, etc. A very large area.

Interesting. I wondered when that area would be developed.

We have a long thread on here somewhere about BLR, it has bounced around from owner to owner for decades, including Saudi Arabian interests at one time. Just about everyone who touches it goes bankrupt.

These so called critics don't know what they are talking about is the first thing that comes to my mind. The "Alluvial" water is close to the surface but a typical oil/gas well is sealed (cemented) off from the surface to several hundreds or thousands of feet below the surface. That puts any of the chemicals used in fracking way below any water wells.

Here's the generic thread for discussing BLR as a housing development, separate from the oil/gas fracking issue.

Here's the generic thread for fracking in Colorado.

Here's the thread for oil/gas drilling in the Front Range area.

Here's the tortured history of BLR.

Here's a large detailed map of the area, it's a very large area.
