Hi, we moved here just over a year ago. We have met some new people and made friends, but not to many with young children or babies. Most of the people we know have teenagers and college bound kids. I am expecting my first soon and I'd really like to meet other moms of little ones. I saw the Ute Pass Mops online, but I'm just not really interested in a religious focused group.

thanks for any suggestions.

You might check with the Dinosaur place - they might have some groups or know of them, because the parents I know up there love that place and are pretty actively involved with it - that, and the Florissant Fossil Beds.

There's a twice-weekly playgroup for moms with small kids (free):
About Playgroup - Teller Tots

Don't be too scared off by MOPS' religious slant without giving it a try first. My wife wasn't raised in any organized religion and doesn't have any strong views on that subject, but MOPS became a really big part of her life nonetheless. She never complained to me about the religious side of it...give it a try! In terms of moms' groups in this area, there is nothing better than that.
