In Iowa we smile at people and turn away when they ask for a job. If we don't watch them die it didn't really happen, right?

I'm ready to move

Long-time lurker here; born in Denver and raised in Bailey. Then Germany, Olympia, Chicago, Alabama and now back to CO right after Christmas and very excited/nervous about it!

I was born and raised in Texas. I joined the Air Force in 85. Spent time in Germany, N. California, Turkey, Alaska, Virginia, there here right before retirement. I've been on temporary duty, TDY, about 13 other countries.

I was TDY to the USAFA in 96 and really liked the area and told my wife I wanted to retire here. While at he Pentagon my boss pulled some strings and I got sent to Pete.

I went to a wedding a couple of years ago in Findlay (either the groom or the bride was from Findlay, and is also close to your age, so I wouldn't be surprised if you knew them from high school). I don't like Ohio much, but Findlay is a very nice small town.

My wife is from the Dayton area and it's shocking to see how many people have moved here from Ohio. I'm a Colorado native, there are times when we come across strangers here who have more in comon with my wife than with me.
