I'm flying into Denver tomorrow. Girlfriends & I going to Silverthorne, Breckenridge & Vail for some shopping.
Then headed to CO. Springs & Manitou. We'll be staying in the Springs.

How much snow have you had ?
What have the temps been High/Lows?
How about Pikes Peak... can you drive to the top ? When I was there in May we couldn't get to the top due to snow. Hope we get to the top & able to check out the view.

Can't wait to get there...

Thanks in advance

Around in inch of snow here in the springs. Low this morning at -5F. Current temp is 19F. Today's high is forecast to be 24F. Don't know about current driving conditions to Pikes Peak. You can call "719-385-7325 to hear the 24-hour pre-recorded information about our current conditions, special announcements, hours of operation, and more."

Have a good stay

Thank you so much.
I will call the number...thanks

My luck we'll be able to get to the top of the peak, we just won't be able to see anything due to fog.
When I was there in May we couldn't get to the top of it then either. Our temp this AM was 18*. I know about cold.I don't like it, but I know about it.

Does anyone know anything about 7 falls ? Is that an area that we will be able to get to. We didn't make it there in May.

We just want to shop...LOVE MANITOU.

What about Colorado City...what kind of stores are in there. I know about the head shop, but thats all.

Pups, to be accurate, it is Old Colorado City (OCC) which is the west side of the city, out Colo Ave on the way to Manitou Springs. Lots of small, locally owned shops and eateries out there, especially when you get past 15th street or thereabouts.

There's a small city about 70 miles south of COLO SPGS that has the name "Colorado City" and we want to avoid confusing readers.

What fog? it's very sunny and clear now. Another option going up to Pikes Peak is the Pikes Peak Cog Railway. Here's the website for 7 falls Seven Falls | Home

It's cold but sunny! It will continue to warm up throughout the week I believe, with sun. 7 falls may be cold and light snow/ice.

Do not bother with 7 Falls. it is one small waterfall and I mean small that hits a spot on the rocks 7 times. The only cool thing about it to me was the stairs; which are hard going up and kind of scary going down. I would not do it at this time of year snce it is super cold even with the sun and the stairs might be icy and it is not a fall you want to take. Who knows it may even be frozen or closed for the season.

Some nut who was also visiting there yelled at me about chipmunks. They are really habituated to humans who feed them and could not leave wildlife wild. I was trying to ignore it and it ran up my leg and grabbed a piece of my pretzel and she told me not to feed them that they carry disease. Yea ok I "fed" it and now I have some kind of pox

Feels like COS here in Tucson. We're freezing...literally...usually in the 60's, instead in the 30's and snow....sigh.
