We used Wheaton van lines last year when we moved from VA. I can recommend them. They gave us a good price, showed up on time at both ends, and worked their tails off. Gave 'em good tips and they deserved them. Here's what I'd recommend. One of the benefits for AAA membership is that they have a service (included in your yearly membership fee) that will do all the leg work for you in finding movers. They'll contact a selection of moving companies (the usual big ones, Wheaton, Bekins, etc), and use their clout to negotiate the best rates, deal with any concerns, questions, etc., and help you select the best company for your particular situation. The companies all have somewhat different policies for dealing with such things as temp storage at either end, and we needed to have some flexibility, as we had not settled on our COS house at the time we contracted for the movers. If that's a concern, you need to check that out carefully, as storage fees can add up fast if you're not ready for the delivery at the destination when they arrive. Anyway, the moving business is very cutthroat right now, and you should be able to score a good deal with a reputable company. We had a big move (16,000 lb) and it cost us $8,000, about 50 cents a pound for a 1350 mile move. That was less than it cost for a similar move for my mother 20 years ago with a lot less stuff. We did most of our own packing (other than art work, mirrors and lamps, which we had them do the day before the movers showed up). That saved a bundle as well. Anyway, check out AAA's service. If it's offered in your state, it'll save a lot of hassle and money.

Does anyone know of a good moving company local to the Co Springs/Denver area?
I need them to do packing and send at least 4 guys to do the move in one day, so they'll need a large truck.
I'm looking for pros, not two college students with a pick up truck.

Thanks!
