I got a kerosene heater really cheap and it's time to fillerup. Home Depot sells it for about $8 per gallon. The guy there told me there was some place where I could get it much cheaper but he couldn't remember the name. I also called around and found it for $5.82 a gallon. Anyone know of anywhere cheaper?
Thanks.

You can check at your Local Airport to see if they have JetA, (and will sell it to you, and what you need to put it in).

I know alot of the home race car people get fuel for there car (100LL) at the airport, They just can't tell them if for a car (different taxes, laws etc.)

JetA is more or less kerosene.

All Rental Center 4780 Austin Bluffs Parkway, phone#599 5118.

Their website says they carry in bulk (bring your own container).

Thanks Arrby. I actually called them and they said something like six bucks a gallon, which to me sounds expensive.

Jet A is currently about $5.75. And that assumes you can find someone to sell it to you.

It is expensive, but no one carrying it in bulk is going to retire off the proceeds given the profit margin.

You can get it way cheaper at gas stations, you just have to find one that sells it. I pay 4.399. DON'T go to one that has the extra tax though, that's not for heaters(the tax). Make sure its k1 clear and not intended for road specifications. Good luck

Try Chief Petroleum, they're typically hit or miss, but being a bulk reseller, they tend to have cheaper prices on most fuels, especially if you tend to buy in bulk. The only location that seems to stock it, and the only location you can make over the counter purchases is the one off of Cimarron and 8th St.

Just run diesel fuel in it, specifically #2 off road diesel. It works just as well as Kerosene, but burns a little dirtier, so it's not so great for indoors. i used a kerosene heater in my garage, and I run #2 in it with no problems. ANd it's about $3 a gallon

Not to be a jerk, but I would HIGHLY recommend NOT burning diesel fuel ANYWHERE indoors.
