Hi I'm a 50 y/o disabled vet on a fixed income looking to move to the CS area in aug of this year due to a bad back I don't do a lot like to walk and love flyfishing or just fishing would like to find a house to rent in a safe area it is just me and my dog (Blue) black lab with one blue eye grew up in Calif LA area and have lived in SA, TX since getting out of the army in 95 I'm 100% disabled threw the Va so I don't work and have not since Oct 31 2000 I don't know anyone in CS but looks like a nice place to live. Any help on good places to rent please? Just starting over me and my wife split up about 3 years ago and it's time to move on.

Hi Bob1962,
I moved from SA to Colorado Springs about 5 years ago. I totally love it here...the quality of life is great! People just seem happier here! If you search for "Mike from back east" you will find a lot of helpful info.
Best of luck to you!! I certainly don't miss the heat and humidity!

There IS fishing here, but this isn't a place I'd have as a destination in mind when my favorite hobby is fishing, imo.

Generally avoid the south-eastern part of town and you'd find a lot of great places to live. I love Old Colorado City, west of I-25 and around Colorado Blvd.
