Question Green Mountain Falls?

Does anyone know anything about a place called Green Mountain Falls near Colorado Springs? Have a friend 84 yrs old , who is traveling with me in Oct. and wants to visit this place again. He and his Mom stayed in a Hotel there in 1938.

Default Green Mtn. Falls.....

Nice little town.....not much there except for some older homes and some much newer/large homes up on the side of the mountain.
Very pretty area along hwy 24 out of the Springs.....closer to Woodland Park.
Believe former race car driver... Al Unser...Jr. or Sr? has or had a house there.

It's just down the road from us...delightful little town. I can understand why your friend would want to see it again. Beautiful area.

Green Mtn. is a really nice place with a few good restuarants. It is a good place to go to get away from town for the day.

Green Mountain Falls is one of several very small communities between Colorado Springs and Woodland Park (not that Woodland Park is that big). When you leave Colorado Springs and pass by Manitou Springs and begin heading up I-24 West into the mountains you will come by Green Mountain Falls. Not much for businesses in these small communities - not sure if your hotel will still be there. Mostly homes of folks who like mountain living and commute a couple miles to Colorado Springs.

Hey Aaron this is a old post I brought back up because I think some people should explore in Green Mtn. and see how nice it is. The hotel is actually closed and for sale for 190k.
