Default Comcast -- variations in brightness?

I am wondering if the variations in brightness I'm experiencing is due to Comcast, or if my widescreen t.v. is going to fail.

I've watched a couple of movies on DVD lately, and didn't notice it, but it could be coincidence.

Any thoughts or experiences?

I have not experienced that, personally, in all my years of cable TV with Comcast or its predecessors.

I have not noticed a variation in brightness on comcast stations. Are you watching HD? Have you tried changing out your cables first? Then see if your cable box is failing.

Comcast is going all digital as of 06 March 2012, and all comcast users either got a letter or an email to that effect. Might be a good time go get rid of an old cable box. We've used our remote control so much that the buttons are starting to fail when pushed, have to push 2-3 times.
