Default Any "PYO" (pick your own) in the area?

Can't seem to find any pick your own fruit/veg in the area...is this true? So sad for us!!

I can't speak for that, I know of some apple picking that goes on, but for the most part, I think it's harder to grow veggies and fruit easily in this climate and altitude, so it may not be as easily available as some other areas. I started all of my veggies inside, and they're still inside, since the growing season is so short. I plan on planting them sometime in late May.

Yep - I'm in peat pots now too - but the kids love going to farms to pick berries...oh well

There is a fruit farm in Penrose that has apple and berry picking. Some years are better than others though, so don't expect much unless its been a good year for them.

Check out May Farms in Byers.

Also, there's a website called "pickyourown.org" that lists a bunch of places around the state. Looks like a pretty good one in Elbert County.
