Highway US-24?! (Denver, Limon, Calhan: moving van, best, driving)

I am heading to CS tomorrow coming from Kansas. Is the best way once I get to Limon to go through Denver then come down the Interstate or should I take US-24, which looks quicker. I just dont want to get stuck on a small run down highway. I am also driving a moving van while towing my car.

Any help on this would be really appreaciated.

Take Hwy. 24 all the way from Limon and avoid the Denver traffic. It's a much quicker route. The highway is well maintained and the towns of Simla and Calhan would have services if you need them. Oftentimes there are deer/antelope out at night so be alert if traveling during the evening.
