Are there any books that have good information about this? Are there any types of gardening clubs?

I'm not the best gardener (most everything dies), but I'd like to give it a try anyway when we move there. Anything, fruits, veggies, ornamental.

We won't be moving for a while yet, but I like to think of things before we get there.

You might try going to local nurseries and see what they recommend. The big stores places like Home Depot and Lowes often sell things that just don't grow here so best to check with a local company.
