It kind of cracks me up. I guess it is city mentality. We are coming from Vermont where six pets isn't unusual.

It's not "city mentality"
it's Owner Property.

Default Rentals with Pets

I am planning on moving to CS next summer (my husband works there already.) Our problem is going to be finding a rental home that allows 4 dogs. Yes, four. Does anyone have any information on the rental situation in CS as far as pets are concerned?

Hello Cary, pets are welcome here. Use the search tool on keywords like PETS or RENTALS and you'll find prior info. Short version: be prepared to do a little bit of searching and probably pay an extra deposit, but should be okay.

I've looked online and so far the only ones listed that I can find either say "No pets" or limit the size to 25 lbs. I have 3 beagles and a German Shorthaired Pointer (who weighs about 60 lbs.) Are there any real estate agents who specialize in rentals?

Default rentals w/pets

Looking to move to CS. My income is all internet based (no, not what you're thinking-shame on you) so I can live anywhere. I would need a threee bedroom rental, have one chihuahua and two cats. I'm opened to any kind, mobile, apt, home, loft, etc. I'm like everyone I want to get the most for as liitle as possible. I am paying $1600.00 and can afford it ok, although I'd really like to spend less. Looking for cleanlyness and safety. Thanks for any any suggestions?

There should be hundreds of rentals that would meet your criteria - have you checked listings yet?

check rentals.com for a large number of listings in your price range - click on the dog & cats allowed button and it will filter out homes for you. I've found that even people that don't say they allow cats/dogs will do so if you offer them an extra deposit per pet. Also remember that utilities bill may be different from where you are coming (in most cases seems to be lower here).

I came up with 40 rentals in the $1500-$1700 range that allow cats and dogs in Colorado Springs. Here are a couple that look nice:
Rental Home in Colorado Springs, CO 80919 - $1650 per month (http://www.rentals.com/Home-Rentals/Display.aspx?ListingNumber=791709 - broken link)
Rental Home in Colorado Springs, CO 80920 - $1625 per month (http://www.rentals.com/Home-Rentals/Display.aspx?ListingNumber=886872 - broken link)
