Hi Everyone:

While growing up in Minnesota, one of my fond childhood memories was visiting downtown Minneapolis during Christmas time. We would go Dayton's Department Store (later Marshall Field, now Macy's) and take in the entire 8th floor which had been transformed into an incredible Christmas display. It was like visiting a magical village, with the music playing and the figurines moving about. People would be lined up outside, winding around the block to get in. Anybody from Minnesota who has experienced this display (which is now in its 49th year) knows what I'm talking about.

Does anybody know if there is something similar here in Colorado Springs or in Denver? I would love to take my kids to something like that.

Thanks!

I know what you mean. I loved walking in the pedestrian areas of downtown Mannheim at Christmas time. The window displays were so awesome.

I'm not sure of anything similar here, although there is always Santa's Workshop at the North Pole. Santa's Workshop

Do any of the other folks who have been here awhile remember Levine's downtown? That toy store had the most awesome displays!
