Default Month to Month or Short Term Rental in NE CS??

We are one of the lucky ones who have actually gone under contract and it appears we have sold our home. We are closing the first week of November, provided no issues arise (we are nervous as we had thought we had the house sold in August, but the buyer could not close the financing deal). At any rate, we have to find something temporary as we are relocating out of state, but not until after the first of the year. We did not realize how difficult it is to find short term housing that does not cost $3000/mo. EEEEK! We would like to find an unfurnished home. Does anybody have experience or know of a source to locate short term housing?

Suggest googling [ "colorado springs" short term rentals ] for hits.

Consider working with a realtor (I'm not one) as many know of places that can accommodate you. If you need a referral, let me know. Many realtors work with renters, hoping to land them as buyers when they've found an area they like.

While our new home was being built from the mud on up (a 9-month process) we rented a house for six months at $1300/month from a realtor couple who own many properties. Some are willing to do these short term rentals.

Have you tried Craigslist? They have some on there aswell. Alot of people renting homes right now are desperate and will probably be willing to let you rent for a couple months. I know that some of my friends threw their stuff in storage and did the places like Residence in and there is another one off of Rockrimmon and I-25. It was around $1300 a month for them.
