Just curious. What do you have against manufactured homes? It seems these homes have a stigma of being like mobile homes or being too boxy. Manufactured homes are better built than traditional stick built homes (they need to be so the sections will be strong enough to be transported by truck), which is far better construction than any mobile home. They are often better insulated as well. They don't even necessarily have to be boxy, as there is a manufactured home builder in Ft Morgan that says they can build to any plan.

I don't know much about today's manufactured homes. Many years ago my mother lived in one, it was about 14X65, and it wasn't great. Are there manufactured homes with fireplaces, vaulted ceilings, skylights, etc? If I could find a nice one on a good piece of land, that would probably be worth it to me. Thank you for bringing it to my attention.

I bet you can find those things. I'd post the website for the company in Ft Morgan, but the moderators are likely to remove it due to the policy of no commercial links. The name of the company is Wardcraft Homes. You can browse the info on their site to find out more.
