Question Fun things for kids?

I have a 6yr old boy and 3yr old girl. We're likely moving there in February. Just trying to get an idea of what my kids can get excited about. I know my son will be thrilled with being near snow again. He was born in MI and expresses wanting to move back all the time just because he misses playing in the snow. LOL!

I can provide some day to day things as I have four kids 3 wks, 4, 6, and 8 years old.

Two or three soccer leagues. We do Rush Pikes Peak

Rush Pikes Peak

YMCA (there's one under construction in Monument) and there are basketball leagues for kids K and up.

Tri-Lakes YMCA - Serving Monument, Palmer Lake & Woodmoor, CO

In the summer for smaller kids we go to H2OBrien Water Park in Parker and Wilson Ranch waterpark/pool in COS, but there is also Pirates Cove in Englewood and for big kids there is a huge waterpark in Denver.

There is a great book called Fun with the Family Colorado by Doris Kennedy. It has tons of great day trips and outings all around CO.

A little update, Monument Valley park downtown is really nice. America the Beautiful is a nice park but has to many homeless people there. Memorial Park on the south end isn't the best area to be at any time of the day. They are having issues with some drugs, bangers and some prositution.

I was at America the Beautiful last Thursday night with my girlfriend, and there was no one, except us. We even had a full on argument in our car, with no one around. Things are much better now, however. Acacia Park, on the other hand, has 84579843574983579834759834 homeless people. I don't mind homeless people myself, as I was homeless before I ended up here in the Springs.

Go to end of America the Beautiful and you will see where the homeless people live over the berm next to the water. I live 3 blocks over from that area and use to go there alot back in the day but when my daughter was playing a bum with a bottle came over and tried to hang out with us. So that is why I say it isn't a good place to go except for Wed. when the Farmers Market and live bands play. Which is from 4 to 7 in the summer. Not putting down homeless people in general just don't want them to be around my kids. Acacia is a shame since there are so many bums there my kids can't play in Uncle Wilbur it also doesn't help the Police Sub Station is right there and the don't give a s####!

Hey Jamie don't take this post the wrong way I just honestly think that America the Beautiful (Confluence Park) was a total waste of money and there are alot of preexisiting parks that could have used that money better. And I still can't figure how they thought if they built a park where the homeless lived at that they wouldn't use it.
