how much does it snow in december in colorado springs, we are planning a trip at that time of the year. thanks for any help.

Charles, you forgot December?! 
Anyhow, to 1953 , city-data.com has that type of information on the pages of the major cities: Colorado Springs, Colorado (CO) Detailed Profile - relocation, real estate, travel, jobs, hospitals, schools, crime, news, sex offenders Scroll down almost halfway and it shows a graph for average snowfall by month (as well as other good weather graphs).
