I've eaten there many times, sometimes by myself, and have never felt scared. The service is always friendly and fast (can't say that I've noticed anyone's bad dental care).

Yes, there usually are a lot of bikers, along with many other folks like me, who just want a good breakfast.

Nothing scary there, except the size of the portions.

Black Bear Diner, Academy and Galley, is great for breakfast, but on the weekends, you gotta get there early; otherwise you'll be waiting for a table.

FYI - The North End Diner has closed/moved/merged. Its new location is about a block west of its old location on Fillmore and called the Bistro.

Oh yeah it is where Charlie's Bbq was. Thanks for the reminder, now it will be easier to find for the newbies.
