I'm with you. I have the ability work from home when I'm actually in COS, but I find myself going into the office most days. I don't quite have the 4am routine. It probably helps that I can stroll in at 9 or 10 and no one will think worse of me.

I work from home too and I love it. I do Entertainment/Music PR. I brought my business with me when I moved here. With the Internet in place working from anywhere in the world is a possibility for me. I am so grateful for that. Yeah, isolation is something that I have to deal with, especially since I don't have any friends here yet, but I wouldn't trade it for anything.

Yes, I work from home. I have my own business. I left the 9-5 commute back in 2001 and haven't looked back since.

My wife works from home, on the phone most of the day. She loves every part of it, but gets cabin fever and does miss some interaction with people at the office. She did go into the office once and there was 2 people there. Haha. It's about a 40 minute trip to the Denver Tech center if she wants to go into the office, but there's no set offices/cubes, so you just kinda show up and pick a spot. So she stays home and enjoys the scenery here.

We moved out here to get out of the big city and neighbors close enough to slap when they were too loud and I'm doing photography for my work, mostly nature/landscapes and some portraits here and there out of the house and have a gallery opening in Arvada about 50 miles from me. So far, I've only been selling off the web and word of mouth so I haven't really had to go anywhere. Send files out to print, get them in, sign them, send them back out. I did land a big restaruant in another state and I'd like to do some more of those. But other than that, I go out and bounce from place to place taking pictures, so I don't really consider that a commute.

Actually, I thought about my earlier post and I think working from home is great, it is being on the telephone all day that I don't like. I wouldn't really want to go back to "face time" where you *have* to be somewhere on some set schedule. I think for me maybe the ideal situation would be to work from home but to be sure to schedule social interaction because I don't want to have day after day after day where I don't see any other people other than my husband in the evening.

Working at home makes sense to me to cut down on fuel consumption and pollution. It's nice to hear that some employers in CO embrace telecommuting. I currently commute 102 miles per day from our rural home in N. TX to Dallas. We're looking to move to CO, and get away from this crazy lifestyle. Our company allows me to work from home ONLY when the weather is bad, or to make up lost time. Even if they allowed working from home 2 days a week, it would probably save me $100/month in gas. I now pay $600/month.

Working from home here!!

My DH and I have an electronics business. Infared remotes, robotics, imbedded controllers...blah blah blah. He designs and builds...does tech support, etc. I do all of the packing. We have a shipping area in our garage,..that's where I am all of the time! UPS picks up at 4:30 everyday and,...I go to the post office everyday.

We sell everywhere in the world.....gotta love the internet!!

He loves it,...I get out more than him! I need to talk to people that I understand ( I never have any idea what he's talking about, waaaaay above my head!) I just pack it!!!HA!!
Besides, if I ever figured it out, he might make me do more and, that's not happening!! That's a joke by the way!!
