I have been looking at homes in CS for a couple weeks and have figured they are around double of
the Pensacola area. I know a few people here make around $12 an hour. It seems like this is about an average pay for common jobs not needing degrees or special training. I am curious what this may translate too in CS? I'm thinking higher house prices higher pay? Maybe.

I kind of doubt it - what were they doing that made $12/hr? Then it might be easier to compare.

That's kind of hard to judge - some of that work could be minimum wage, or some of it could be $20/hr plus - depends on the details. As far as I know, our salaries are NOT inflated here compared to other areas. Recent news reports say we lag the rest of the state, and I don't think Colorado is particularly known for high wages. So I guess I'm saying I wouldn't count on more money here. But are the houses really twice as much here? Did you look, say, in Widefield or Fountain?

Some places housing is high because of limited space or its a really nice place to live. Other places housing is higher because there are a lot of good paying jobs. I have the feeling CS a nice place and people want to live there that's driving up house prices. Just wondering if pay reflects high cost of living or not.

OK. Thats good to know, kind of figured so. Our area has a huge void in the job market. Lots of minimum wage jobs and then some Aircraft structural engineering, doctors etc but nothing in the middle.

Sorry 1duder, but that lack of things in the middle is becoming a common theme. Those jobs don't exist anymore, and society is polarizing.
