I'd like something like that for electronics and computers. I often buy online from Dell outlet.

I've gotta check out the Goodwill stores here. San Antonio has a Goodwill Computer Store that I frequented. Great place to pick up used parts at very low prices.

As far as appliances, I'd even go for Denver. Damn washers and dryers are expensive.

I think the Sear's outlet may work. I'll have to find that.

I've never shopped here personally, just haven't needed to yet, but I've seen commercials for them on tv.

Appliance Factory Outlet: Colorado's Largest Independent Appliance Dealer Serving Denver, Colorado Springs, Ft. Collins, Longmont and more

I hope this helps.

If you want to consider used items, sometimes they are on a free yahoo list here in town. You can post both Wanted to Buy (WTB) and Wanted to Sell (WTS) listings, plus yard sales and trades as well.
- CoSpringsBuySell : CoSprings Buy & Sell

There is another free yahoo list, FreeCycle, where people give away unwanted items (OFFER) or ask for items (WANTED).
- SpringsFreeeCycle : Colorado Springs, CO Freeecycle

Both are free but you must 'join' to see posts. Most cities have these lists on yahoo. National site is: The Freecycle Network

s/Mike

JASMINE - I looked and their prices aren't any better than Best Buy or Sears

Mike - I'll take a look at the For Sale Used ones, but I don't think I'll find what I'm looking for there. I doubt I'd want a free one seeing as those will probably be at the end of their life.

I was really looking for a Scratch N Dent type store. I've seen them in other parts of the country and they have very good deals on slightly damaged appliances. I guess there just isn't one around here.

I don't know of a specific store, but I did buy a dented dryer at a substantial discount at Best Buy.

My hunch is most appliance retailers simply sell their own scratch and dent items these days, along with floor models. Doesn't seem good business to sell stuff for even less to another retailer than they get from retail customers.

Might be worth calling a few places to see what they may have, to include Lowe's and Home Depot too.
