We are relocating to Westminster CO from Baltimore MD and we are trying to think 'outside the box' to reduce the cost. We have belongings equivalent to a studio apartment.

Our move in date is Nov 2, however we are flexible and have a place to store our things if someone is going sooner AND we have family on the other end to unload.

We have some Upack & Pod pricing and a lots of other quotes.

Of course, we need someone trustworthy and reliable; however our things are not really worth stealing, its all mostly sentimental.

We will consider all options, splitting fuel , paying all the fuel - just trying to avoid the $1000+ on the rates we are getting for the amount of belongings we have.

Looking forward to your ideas and hopefully proposals!!

The "pods" are usually some of the most expensive ways to move, it seems like. Can you rent a u-haul trailer and hitch for your vehicle and just drive out? That has always been the least expensive option when I have moved with a studio or dorm sized amount of belongings in the past.

Also, you can also find hostels along the way to stay in, and they are much cheaper than a hotel.
