Not very surprising. The longer I am here the nicer and more helpful folks get. I am proud to call this city my home.

That list wasn't compiled from any sort of actual 'niceness' factors. It says that they used volunteer #'s, hours and donated dollars to determine it. One can make an argument that nice people donate and volunteer more than mean ones, but in my experience that isn't necessarily true. That's why the list is called 'most generous' instead of 'nicest' or 'friendliest'.

That said, I do feel that people in COS, and in CO in general, are pretty nice overall. I just don't think their volunteer efforts, or lack thereof, have much to do with that.

It's not just the Springs on the list - Boulder and Ft Collins are also on the list - Colorado is generous.
