...on wheels, at the Manitou Coffin Races this year, that is my creation. I am building it in my garage! The company I work for has a team. I won't be actually riding/running/walking with it, but it's my creation and it should be pretty darn impressive.

I have never been, personally. Which is perhaps a good thing, because they told me the restrictions on the coffin size (3'10" wide by 8' long, no height restriction) and I heard "no height restriction" and ran with it. Ours is over 7 feet tall. It does not look very much like a "coffin." But it didn't say in the rules that it had to! However I think if I'd been before, I probably would have never gone with such a grandiose scale.

We do not expect to even come close to winning the race. But I'm hoping for possibly best coffin. It truly is a monstrous thing...
