We moved here last year and our primary decision points were: a few acres for peace and quiet, a house that a family of four can grow into and eventually out of, good schools, but close enough to town for it to not be a drag when we have to do it. We looked in Northgate, Black Forest, Monument, and Falcon. We settled on Falcon because it had all of these things but was about 15-20% cheaper. If I had it to do all over again (hindsight being 20/20) I might have chosen Northgate or north western Black Forest. I don't dislike Falcon at all. But the drive to get to the highway to get to Denver adds about 20 minutes to the trip and we're making that trip more often than we thought.

To answer your recent question more directly; Between Northgate and Briargate, hands down, Northgate. Briargate is becoming dated and has that wall to wall people feel. I'd rather have space, peace, and quiet even if it costs a bit more.

Good Luck in your search!

FYI - Northgate isn't going to be space, peace, and quiet for very much longer, it seems. In where the new Bass Pro is, will be a whole lot more shops. Look into the "Copper Ridge" development. Northgate is great, don't get me wrong, but it's not "getting away from it all".
