golfing in colorado (Colorado Springs: to rent, airport, clubs)

I'm from louisiana, we play golf all year long, i'm going to colorado springs in late Dec. what should i expect or shouls i just leave the sticks at home. Thanks for your help

Well, it's 75 today and sunny, you should be here, WITH clubs. On Wednesday it will be 35 degrees. It's like that here.

December can be much the same. Bright sun and temps of 45 and up are fine weather here for outdoor things, including golf.

Hopefully a local golfer will chime in, but IMO it's year round here too except for the rare winter where snow lingers.

You'd probably be better off to rent/borrow golf clubs rather than schlep them them in an airport and such with the chance that you wont be able to use them. Patty Jewett in C Springs rents them for $12 for 9 holes.

It's highly conceivable that you will be able to get in a day of golfing but you just never know. Last year the golf courses (public) shut down for one of the longest time periods in recent history because of the back to back blizzards. Other years, like 2002 during the drought, people were on the links through most of winter.
