I am thinking of moving from New York to colorado springs for a great job with a wife, newborn and 19 month old and wanted to understand what living in Colorado springs would be like??

I think we have one temple - you may wish to contact it and get an idea of how life goes here - it would be very different from NY, perhaps. Temple Shalom - Your Jewish Home in Colorado Springs

You might want to contact Chabad Lubavitch of Southern Colorado (based here in the Springs) for more information. The synagogue is in Rockrimmon; there are services, Torah classes, a kid's day camp, a mikvah...members of their community should be able to answer your questions!

There is two chapels in the downtown area. And then there is one orthodox chapel up on Rockrimmon.

Two familys that are close friends of ours are practicing jews and have no issues at all. And both of them are from the East Coast area.
