I agree ....however this friend of mine said that IF they filed taxes jointly, the IRS would take all of the refund for HIS arrears in child support.
I would think that the IRS would divide it up (his/hers) but she says, nope, they take it all. I find this ridiculous and I don't agree with it, but again, I don't know.
They do not garnish wages, and I do not agree with anyone who says that the courts or ex spouse, can take into account a new spouses income and, increase support...no way. Just repeating what I heard.
