I'm going out this year, but thankfully I don't have to drive home!! My husband is in a band called Vehicle, they are playing at Hotel Elegante for their New Year's Eve party. We get to stay the night.

Where can you see this from? We are actually spending our first New Years eve here (tile work is taking longer than we thought).

If you can see Pikes Peak during the day, you'll see the fireworks. Of course there are better locations than others, but some of us are lucky enough to sit at home and see it.

Anywhere you can see the top of Pikes Peak! A lot of people just watch from their homes looking out the window.

Just realize that The Peak is a mile higher and several miles further away from your viewing locale, so the fireworks are not going to be awe inspiring. But they will look nice and will illuminate the snow fields on the summit in colors of red, blue and green.

Absolutely. We watch it every year from our living room window and wouldn't miss it for the world. I genuinely respect the effort these folks make every year, especially considering the temperatures they'll face tonight. A great Springs tradition.

Happy New Year to all!

Tom

Looking a bit iffy on seeing the fireworks this year unless these clouds and snow move out. It will be a frigid night on the peak! Happy New Year City Data folks!
