I have always wanted to see the AdAmAn club shoot off the fireworks on New Years eve from Pikes Peak, but I cannot see it from my house and I am usually fast asleep by midnight. Anyone else seen them in the past, or going to look for them tonight? Last night was really clear out so maybe tonight it will be a good night for them. I think its a cool tradition.

We see them from our house near Pine Creek HS; at this distance they are very small looking but we are at least 15 miles away.

We have a good view from our house downtown. We always watch them but like Mike said fireworks at 14,000 feet look pretty small down here. It is a cool tradition though. I heard that this year they are setting some off at 9 pm and the main show is at midnight.

The 9PM test shot sounds like fun, I'll pop the cork on my magnum of champagne at that time!

Maybe I will drive up the road and see if I can see the 9:00 one - that's not past my bedtime!

It does not matter to me if they are not impressive - I just think the whole idea of it is neat.

I can see the mountain from my front yard, if there are no clouds perhaps I'll pop out and see if there's anything to look at. Thanks for the reminder, I'd completely forgotten that this was a thing, and I missed it last year.

I was in the Springs last New Year's Eve and darn if it wasn't cloudy (in the northern part anyway). It is a really neat tradition, so I was truly bummed out. Hope you guys get to see it.

Ha, I came here wondering if anyone brought this up!

I have an ok shot of the peak. This is our first new years eve here so I'm pretty excited to see what it looks like from downtown. Like beezle, I just like the whole idea of the club. We took a snowshoeing class at REI that was taught by a member of the group and it was really interesting hearing him talk about it.
