I ran across info about these guided downtown walking tours scheduled this year. Some are art related to explain the art and sculptures in our downtown area, and another is historic architectural related. These look interesting!

For those of you who are interested in walking tours of the Old North End, there's an excellent book out ("Exploring the Old North End, by Jennifer Lovell and Robert Loevy) that consists of a number of walking tours (maps, pics, descriptions) of the entire area. I believe it's still available directly through the Old North End Neighborhood website.

I think springs.gov also has a number of self-guided driving/walking tours of historic buildings that you can take.

There's also a team that do walking tours of downtown, centered on food. A little bit of history, and visits to several restaurants for a drink and a nibble.

I've done it, and it's fun. I recommend it highly.
