Hi everyone, I was hoping on some advise about opening a girls (under 13) party place, girls spa. Providing mini pedis, manis, and facials. Also providing princess parties. I will also have themed parties for boys. Is this something Colorado Springs residence would be interested in, as I see they have mobile party spas, but no physical store front. Please any advice would be greatly appreciated. Thanks, Jeanna

I've never heard of this, and I don't know if our city is large enough to create the volume for what sounds like an upscale disposable income business in an economy that has turned down. The macroeconomic environment seems difficult, and trying to do it outside of a top 20 or so US market really seems like it would amplify the problem.

Just my opinion. (Masters in Business)

Yeah that sounds to me more like an Orange County or 90210 kind of thing than a Colorado Springs kind of thing - but hey, sometimes people with big dreams can do the unexpected and succeed at it.

I'm an elementary teacher and I am constantly surprised at the number of girls that come in with their nails done. I think if you provide that service along with a full service nail salon, you would be OK.

My daughter attended a birthday party at The Salon Professional Academy that included a lot of the things you mention. I would guess that tweens+ would love this type of service.

There was something similar at the Chapel Hills Mall a few years ago for much younger girls, I think it was called MollyCoddles. We had a princess party there and they did the girls' nails.

A few years back?

Does this mean that they went out of business?
