I've lived here in Colorado Springs for a while and have looked at reviews online. Any apartments someone recommends that are under 600 dollars per month? I hope this question is okay to ask and I hope I have not violated the rules here. Any help would be great!

Thanks!

I'm not sure what size you're looking for. I've rented all over the Springs with that exact budget in mind. It's a bit hit-or-miss on quality in that price range. If you're not fussy about location, there are some great complexes in the Ivywild neighborhood. Also some shady ones... Is there a particular neighborhood or area you'd like to be in?

Thanks for your reply Littlekw. A one bedroom or studio, something small, and total (including bills to be around 600 per month). Neighborhood does not matter, maybe not the most run down place in the city.

I'm guessing you know the general neighborhoods to avoid sknce you've been here a bit. Let me take a look around my area and I'll let you know if anything good is available. There are some pretty good deals here, if you can find them, in good buildings. I anything catches my attention I'll send you a direct message.

I'm trying to stay in the same budget. I've been looking at Altamira and Villages at Lionstone. Apartmentratings has the same love/hate messages that plague every apartment complex.

Also check the American Classifieds paper. It has a lot of more affordable apartments in it, all over the city. Most convenience stores have a copy.

Don't rent at: Any place that takes section 8.

One place my wife and I looked at because the rent was so cheap: The Beverly. No chance of us renting there. None. Crime was such a problem they had several cameras positioned. There were a startlingly large number of people just standing around outside during the middle of the work day. I don't mind people hanging out, but there were tons of adults that seemed like they really needed money, and they were not working or trying to find work.
