Happy pi day! (3-14) What's the best place in town for pie?

Marigolds! They have the best desserts.

And while I hate recommending chains, some Village Inn pies are pretty darn tasty.

AAA's recent magazine named Stir (in the Bon Shopping Center) and Corner Cafe (downtown on Vermijo by the Courthouse) as the best places in Colorado Springs (from personal experience, I concur). Also try Westside Cafe near Bear Creek Park. But...here's my persona favorite...Andy's Meat Market on Platte. They have frozen pies from some place in Nebraska that you take home and bake. They're out of this world. Try the blueberry.

I have to agree about Marigold's desserts! But I don't think they have pie usually, mostly fancy cakes, tortes, cheesecakes, brownies. muffins, really good baguettes.... Oh no, now I am hungry!

Marigold's eclairs are superb.

Everything at Marigold is amazing. Their croissants are some of the best I've had outside of France.

We just ended up at Village Inn - I've never been, so I could pretend it wasn't a chain. Good key lime pie. I don't have to wait for pi day to try the other places.

I'd love to find a mom and pop place that has just loads of pie in their display. Anybody else familiar with the Norske Nook, in Osseo, Wisconsin? Like that. I'm hoping Carrera's suggestions come close-ish to that.

We went to Village Inn, too. The food was excellent this time. And the pie was good.

Ha! I'm with you, hollyt00. I do like making pie, but sometimes, having it served with a nice cuppa is relaxing too.
