Default cross country skiing

Most people tend to ask about downhill skiing. I used to cross country ski, and I'm interested in maybe getting back into it when I move. Where are the best places to do so around the area? Do a lot of people cross country ski there? How about at Cheyenne Mountain state park? Thanks

I don't know but I'd sure be interested myself especially if it wasn't too far and if there were places where kids could do it too. Rentals? Rentals for kids? Sounds like a great, healthy thing to do on a sunny brisk winter weekend.

Also be interested in snowshoeing.

There are a lot of great places to cross country ski and snowshoe in and around the Colorado Springs area. Fox Run park is a great place for both. Here's a link for an article regarding Fox Run Park. HAPPY TRAILS RED FOX LOOP | Gazette, The (Colorado Springs) | Find Articles at BNET.com

Mountain Chalet in downtown Colorado Springs is a great resource for information on where to go as well as providing ski rentals.
