I thought maybe this part of town is not representative of the city as a whole, but I poked on the City of Colorado Springs web site and found they have issued 212 MMJ licenses and only 113 retail liquor store licenses. (Of course, when you count bars and restaurants with liquor licenses, they do outnumber the MMJ licenses.)

Also don't forget the City of Colorado Springs doesn't take up the whole county, and the county issues liquor licenses but not MMJ licenses.....
